A six-day immersive professional training combining technical DJ skills, musical journey design, embodiment, and somatic awareness, led by Tristan Gorski and Monika Nataraj.
This Isn't Just Another DJ Course
Thousands of tutorials online teach beatmatching, transitions and software. But operating equipment is only one part of becoming a great DJ — the real craft is understanding people, and how music changes a room: how rhythm influences movement, how energy rises and falls, how one track can transform a group's emotional experience.
This training bridges that gap. Over six immersive days you'll build genuine technical confidence while discovering how music, movement and somatic awareness work together — leaving with practical DJ skills, a deeper understanding of musical storytelling, and the confidence to create experiences people genuinely remember.
Why We Created This Training
DJ trainings focus almost entirely on technology. Embodiment trainings explore movement, awareness and presence. Neither fully explores the relationship between them — yet music doesn't exist separately from the body. Every rhythm creates a response; every transition changes momentum.
Whether you lead Ecstatic Dance, facilitate a retreat, teach movement, hold workshops, or simply want to become a more expressive DJ, understanding this relationship changes everything. Because the most memorable DJs don't just play music — they understand how music moves people.
The Arc You'll Learn to Build
What Makes This Different
Most DJ schools teach you how to mix music. Most movement training teaches you about the body. This training teaches the relationship between both — professional DJ instruction, musical journey design, embodiment, somatic awareness, practical application and real-world experience, woven together every day.
What You'll Learn
Feel comfortable performing your own set with confidence.
Start hearing music as chapters in a larger story.
Guided daily by Monika — supporting the technical work, not separate from it.
Every participant receives individual guidance throughout the week.
Who This Training Is For
For women who want to develop technical excellence in DJing while understanding the somatic and emotional impact of music. Learn to DJ with confidence, design meaningful musical journeys, and create experiences that truly move people.
Meet Your Facilitators
With over three decades behind the decks, Tristan Gorski has evolved from the underground club culture of the late 1990s to becoming the co-founder of Ecstatic Dance Koh Phangan and an internationally recognised conscious dance DJ.
Tristan has performed at countless conscious festivals, retreats, and transformational events around the world, including Sweden, England, Estonia, and Thailand. He has also DJed for Mindvalley, Mindvalley University, and A-Fest Ibiza, creating musical journeys for thousands of participants in some of the world's leading personal development and conscious community events.
As an educator, Tristan teaches the technical craft of DJing, developing confidence behind the decks, mastering equipment, understanding musical structure, reading the energy of a room, and constructing journeys that guide people through a complete emotional and embodied experience.
His teaching style is practical, supportive, and deeply experience-based, helping students understand not only how to mix music, but why music has the power to move people.
Monika guides the embodiment and somatic elements of the training. Learning something unfamiliar always brings a response in the body — excitement, self-doubt, confidence, fear. Through daily somatic practices, she helps participants recognise what's happening within themselves as they learn, and build confidence from within.
Her presence creates a learning environment where technical development and personal development naturally support one another.
Why We Keep The Group Small
This training is intentionally limited to a smaller group so every participant receives meaningful attention, individual coaching, and personalised feedback throughout the week.
You'll learn directly from Tristan and Monika, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, refine your skills, and receive guidance tailored to your own journey.
Just as importantly, you'll be part of a supportive community of women learning alongside one another. You'll celebrate each other's progress, share discoveries, offer encouragement, and grow together in an environment built on trust, collaboration, and genuine connection.
This isn't a crowded workshop where you're one face in the room — it's an immersive, intimate learning experience where every participant is seen, supported, challenged, and given the space to develop both technically and creatively.
The Experience
Set in a private retreat environment on Koh Phangan, each day blends technical DJ instruction with hands-on practice, embodiment and somatic exercises, group reflection, and one-to-one coaching.
Every participant receives extensive time behind the decks, personalised guidance, and meaningful feedback throughout the training.
Following the retreat, participants are invited to attend Rise Ecstatic Dance at Pyramid Yoga on Sunday 13 September, one of Koh Phangan's most established conscious dance events, co-created by Tristan Gorski.
This optional experience offers the opportunity to witness and embody the principles explored throughout the training in a real-world setting.
The weekend concludes with an optional group dinner on the 13th — a chance to celebrate, connect, reflect, and integrate the journey together.
What Graduates Say
"I came in barely knowing what a controller was. By the end of the week I'd played my own set live — and actually understood why it worked."
"The somatic work changed how I hear music completely. I don't just pick tracks anymore — I feel where the room needs to go."
"Small group, real feedback, no ego. Tristan and Monika made space for every single person to actually grow, not just watch."
